As a new season of FIFA Mobile is finally upon us (come on, EA, maybe release it a month after the new season starts, but not in November), it’s time to re-imagine methods to make the most profit in the game. Filters that yielded you significant dough last season will likely not do you any favors this term, particularly with the elimination of plans and the items it brought with it, in addition to the fact that special program players now are almost exclusively unauctionable, meaning they can only be gained through purchasing special packs and playing (or rather, grinding) the events.
There are, crucially, more opportunities for you to earn coins by playing the game itself. Specifically, playing Campaign Mode is beneficial as not only does it bring you a ton of coins, but also a great amount of FIFA Points. However, this will only sustain you for the first few weeks till you’re done with all the campaigns and have nothing else to do. Getting to 90 and 95 OVR will be hard, but considering some people (ahm..some people with very deep pockets) are already at 130+ OVR, it can only take you so long to get to 90+.
The biggest challenge, obviously, with getting to 90+ OVR is the amount of coins you’d need to do so. Playing Campaign Mode is great, but you need more than just one source for earning a good amount of coins. Although much of FIFA Mobile has changed from last season, the market has remained, largely, the same. So what can you do to exploit it and rake up your profits?
Sniping (i.e. buying players at bargain prices) is difficult this season. The market has difficulties refreshing and often pulls up the same expired items over and over again for quite awhile. However, if you’re persistent enough, you can be successful in the market by following these tips:
- Look at the small picture – Yes, you read it right. Let me just clarify something though. Looking at the big picture can be beneficial, but only for understanding the overall trends. It’s the small picture where you’ll make the big bucks. So categorize your thinking when you’re browsing. Think about trends in terms of prices for players within a specific league, a specific club, a specific position, etc. and soon you’ll end up with a few hypotheses.
- Observe – Just looking at things, as well, will get you nowhere. You have to observe. Observe the prices. Observe the positions. Observe any special events the game is having. Do you notice something?
- Find the right balance – You have to find the right balance between quantity and margin, in terms of profit. A 200% profit on a bronze player item is not going to be useful, considering it will require you to list and relist thousands of those items before you can reach any significant amount of income. On the other hand, a 10k profit on a player who cost you 1m coins is not good either because you’ll make a loss after taxes. There isn’t something definitive that one can point to as the perfect balance, so you just have to find the balance that’s right for you. I’d recommend not investing into an item if you won’t be able to resell it for at least a 20% profit margin or a 10,000 coins profit, whichever is more applicable to the scenario. Use the percentage scale if the item in question is relatively expensive, as in more than 100k coins. If not, then use the coins as your point of reference.
Now that you’ve read the three tips, how do you actually go about finding a few players to snipe?
Perhaps the most important trait you need to show when trying to exploit the market in order to earn coins is belief. Belief not only in your deductions and ideas and arithmetic, but belief in your ability, your capabilities as a human being. Just because someone is not bidding on an item doesn’t mean it’s a bad deal; on the other hand, just because someone is bidding on an item doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good deal either. Observe the market and don’t just tap and hope it works out. Know your stuff and delve in with confidence. Everyone makes bad purchases, so don’t beat yourself up too much if you do so.
