The 2019/20 Scottish Premiership has been one of the most exciting top-flight campaigns in a number of years in Scotland.
We have had an exciting title race, the tussle for European places has been competitive, while a number of clubs have been fighting for their lives at the bottom end of the table.
Here is a look at who we believe the three standout players have been in the campaign.
Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is a long way clear of the rest of the pack in the top goalscoring charts this season. The Frenchman has scored 22 goals in the SPL, the best total of his career. His side were favourites to retain the title in the football betting throughout the season and they achieved this, albeit in unique fashion as they were awarded it due to the season being abandoned.
Edouard was named the Player of the Month in August and January after fantastic spells across both of those months. He has been very consistent though, across the season for the Hoops.
The Bhoys striker has had a brilliant record in the Old Firm matches since joining Celtic in 2017. He continued to haunt Rangers again this season, scoring in both of two league games, including their 2-0 victory at Ibrox back in September.
The 22-year-old is developing into one of the best strikers in Europe so Celtic may have a job on their hands this summer keeping hold of their leading talisman. A number of clubs in the Premier League, including Arsenal and Newcastle, are reportedly keen to sign the player.
Alfredo Morelos is now into his third season at Rangers and he continues to shine in Glasgow. The Colombian has netted 29 goals in all competitions in the 2019/20 campaign, 12 of those have come in the SPL.
Morelos’ disciplinary record has often come under scrutiny in Scotland. His performances this season have outshone any such issues though.
The 23-year-old is on course for being a legend at Ibrox. He has been one of the key reasons as to why Rangers pressed Celtic for the title for large parts of the season. If they are able to retain his services, the Gers likely to be strong contenders once again next year.
Martin Boyle has been with Hibernian since 2015 and he has been one of their best performers since then, including this season where he is arguably having the best season of his career.
Boyle was named the Player of the Month in December. He has almost certainly been in contention for that award across a number of months this season.
The Australian international was out for a big chunk of 2019 due to injury. He was forced to miss the 2019 Asian Cup which was a cruel blow for the Hibernian man.
Boyle has come back from that injury in great shape. He was linked with a move to Celtic in the January transfer window but, to the relief of Hibs fans, he remained at Easter Road.
All three players should be in contention for the Scottish Player of the Year for the 2019/20 season, when it is handed out at the annual awards later this year.
